When JELADO was founded, we released many colorful flocked T-shirts, but we were unable to expand into sweatshirts.
This time, we have finally been able to create a body that is a perfect match, so we are excited to release it.
This product is finished with electroplating printing based on the vintage color flocking that we have been collecting for many years.
With regular screen printing, multiple pieces can be printed simultaneously on one line, but with this printing, experienced craftsmen print each piece individually.
Since it is not a mass-production machine, it takes several times longer than usual, and it also takes time to clean before and after work and to set up the equipment, so there are no other places that can print this way.
It is now such a highly valued item that it is traded for around 50,000 yen in the vintage market.
The body is knitted using an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine, with a round body (no side seams).
Using this knitting machine, we are able to create a fluffy material that is highly elastic, soft, and has a bouncy feel like nothing else has before.
The fleece is made on an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine, and is characterized by its vintage feel and lightness.
This knitting machine is one of the machines from the 70s when loopwheel knitting machines were replaced by innovative knitting machines, and there are only a few of them left. Because it knits slowly, the number of pieces produced per day is low, so you can enjoy the texture of a loopwheel knitting machine, which is characterized by its uneven surface and fluffy texture.
When it comes to raising the fabric, if it is an open-knit fabric, it can be raised in one work process, but in the case of round raising, the circle is fitted onto a flat surface and raised on all four sides, and the work is done all the way around, so it simply takes four times as much work.
The fabric is finished with a brushed finish before dyeing.
