We've created a fantastic printed sweatshirt that can truly be called the highlight of this collection. We've finally been able to release a color flock print sweatshirt, something we've been unable to produce for many years. Since JELADO's founding, we've released color flock T-shirts many times, but we had difficulty expanding this to sweatshirts. This time, we finally created a body with excellent compatibility, so we are now releasing it with great anticipation. We finished it with electro-deposition printing based on vintage color flock items that we've collected over many years. With regular screen printing, multiple items can be printed simultaneously on one line, but for this print, skilled artisans print each piece individually. Since it's not a mass-production machine, it takes several times longer than usual, and the cleaning before and after the work, as well as the equipment setup, also takes time, so there are few places that can do this kind of printing. Furthermore, in the vintage market, items like these are highly valued and now trade for around 50,000 yen. The body is knitted on an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine to create a tubular body (without side seams). By using this knitting machine, the material is highly stretchable, soft, and has an unprecedented bouncy, plump texture. The old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine produces loopwheel fabric characterized by a vintage-like texture and lightness. This knitting machine is one of those from the 1970s, when knitting machines transitioned from hanging knitting machines to innovative knitting machines, and there are very few existing machines, making it rare. Because it knits slowly, the daily production is low, which allows for a texture similar to that of a hanging knitting machine, with a characteristic uneven surface and plump feel. Regarding brushing, if it's an open-width fabric, brushing can be done in one process, but for tubular brushing, the tube is flattened, brushed on four sides, and the process is repeated around the entire circumference, meaning it takes four times the effort. It is finished with pre-dyeing brushing, where brushing is done before dyeing.
