JELADO CN3 Jacket [CT81409]

For the 2023SS collection, we continue with the theme of GILT EDGE VINTAGE, following last year's autumn/winter collection. We've taken the U.S.NAVY USN N-3 HBT UTILITY JACKET, a vintage utility jacket issued to the navy in the 1940s, as our base and re-envisioned its silhouette to be more wearable. This is a U.S. Navy herringbone twill jacket. While it closely resembles the Marine Corps' P-41, the N-3 is considered rarer. We've reproduced it while leveraging the N-3's slightly elongated silhouette. The fabric comes in two varieties. One option features a darker shade than the original vintage, using a robust herringbone twill with 14/- warp and 8/- weft yarns. Designed based on vintage SZ-twisted herringbone weave, this material faithfully reproduces the look of the era with its distinct twill lines. The second option uses 10-ounce light-ounce denim, commonly found in workwear from the 1950s, with 17-count warp and 10-count weft yarns. By incorporating sulfur-dyed gray weft yarns, it achieves a deep color and the atmospheric aging of the period. The slightly wider silhouette makes it highly versatile for coordinating with outfits beyond just jeans. Laurel buttons further enhance its authentic appeal. This recommended spring jacket can be layered over chambray or flannel shirts and sweatshirts, or simply worn over a T-shirt.
