JELADO Ciggy Shirt (AG81118)

This time we are releasing the CIGGY SHIRTS, which are based on an item that Goto has wanted to make for many years.
In making this, we started by looking at the materials and took the time to develop them to create the finest twisted heathered chambray.
JELADO has dismantled vintage "BIG YANK" fabrics made in the 30s and 40s from its collection, and created the ultimate chambray fabric by thoroughly reproducing the characteristics of the fabric, such as the thread count, number of threads per weave, uneven thread shape, and twist state (the warp threads are wall twisted with a combination of two threads of different counts).
Since it is dyed with sulfide dyes, you can enjoy the unique aging process that is unique to VINTAGE.
At first, we were trying to recreate the black chambray by comparing the beakers many times to check the color, but by chance the dye was too red and the resulting beaker was a grayish brown. This was the first time we had seen such a wonderful color, so we decided to use this color. It was a product of chance, but we ended up with the best twisted heathered chambray.
Of course, since power looms are used, you can feel the texture of the 30s and 40s.
The result is a color and yarn atmosphere that is irresistible for those who love twisted heathered chambray.
The design is a half-zip pullover which is hard to come by these days, with the cuffs featuring the separated design that is characteristic of "BIG YANK", and the collar featuring a short chin strap known as "chocochin".
The stitching is finely sewn so that the thread tightens when washed, creating a nice puckering look that matches the texture of the chambray fabric, giving it a unique vintage feel.
