For this item, we analyzed the thread count and thickness from vintage shirts we own from the 1920s-30s and collaborated with a fabric manufacturer to reproduce a dobby fabric.
This 100% cotton dobby fabric uses 40/- for the warp, 20/2X for the dobby part, and 30/- for the weft.
The fabric is woven using a two-beam dobby loom in Nishiwaki City, Hyogo Prefecture.
It has a soft texture, a pleasant feel against the skin, and is comfortable to wear.
The collar is a button-down specification.
The placket has a wide, rounded design, similar to work shirts.
The length is sufficient to allow for tucking in.
The side hems feature gussets, just like vintage shirts.
This classic style shirt can be worn for a wide range of looks, from casual styles to innerwear for a three-piece suit.
The name CHARLTON comes from a street in Manhattan, New York.
