JELADO Champs Sweatshirt [AB82251]

This item is available in three colors: Salt and Pepper, Old Navy, and Mint.

Based on 1940s freedom sleeve sweatshirts, they are tailored to a modern fit while retaining a vintage feel.

The body is knitted in a tubular style (no side seams) using an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine. The Azuma knitting machine is an old-fashioned knitting machine that produces a loopwheeled fabric with a vintage feel and lightness. This knitting machine is one of those from around the 1970s that replaced suspended knitting machines with innovative knitting machines, and there are very few of them remaining, making them rare.

Because they knit slowly, the daily production volume is low, allowing for a texture similar to loopwheel knitting machines, characterized by an uneven surface and a soft feel.
Regarding brushing, while open-width fabric can be brushed in a single process, in the case of tubular brushing, the tube is flattened and brushed on four sides, requiring four times the effort to complete the entire circumference.

The fabric is pre-brushed before dyeing.

Following vintage sewing techniques, almost all seams are double-stitched, but the cuffs are knitted ribs, attached in a single pass directly from the double-stitched underarm seam.
We have recreated a piece that is difficult to obtain today, reproducing the sewing techniques of that era.
