Based on our own vintage samples, we have launched a vintage-style two-tone sweatshirt in a new color scheme.
This time, it is available in two colors: a pink base with smoked black and a reversed version. This color scheme is a combination of pink and black, which was popular in the 2s, and is highly valued as a vintage item.
We use an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine, which is a round body (without side seams) to knit the fabric. This knitting machine produces a material that is highly elastic, soft, and has a fluffy feel that has never been seen before. Azuma knitting machines are used to create fleeces with a vintage feel and lightness, making them rare. This knitting machine appeared in the 70s during the transition from loopwheel knitting machines to innovative knitting machines, and there are only a limited number of them in existence due to their gentle knitting method. Therefore, you can enjoy a material with a bumpy surface and fluffy texture that is similar to the texture of a loopwheel knitting machine.
Regarding the raising, while normal raising is done in one process on a flat surface, round raising requires aligning the circle with a flat surface to raise the nap on all four sides, requiring one full rotation, which takes four times as much work as normal raising. By brushing the fabric before dyeing, the unique texture is emphasized.
The sewing is almost entirely done with a twin needle, the cuffs are made with circular knit ribbing, and the cuff ribbing is attached in one go from the twin needle sewing of the underarms. We have faithfully reproduced the vintage sewing method to recreate a hard-to-find vintage sweatshirt. This sweatshirt is a piece that allows you to enjoy the texture and details of the time.
