For this item, we have reproduced a very rare vintage piece.
It is knitted on a vintage Azuma knitting machine in a circular knit (seamless sides) construction.
Using this knitting machine results in a plump fabric that is exceptionally stretchy, soft, and has an unprecedented Mochi-like texture.
The Azuma knitting machine, an old-style knitting machine, produces a fleece fabric characterized by its vintage feel and lightness.
This knitting machine is one of those that transitioned from loopwheel knitting machines to innovative knitting machines around the 1970s, and there are very few of these rare machines still in existence.

Because it knits slowly, daily production is low, allowing for a texture similar to loopwheel knitting machines, characterized by its uneven surface and plump feel.
Regarding brushing, while open-width fabric can be brushed in a single process, circular brushing requires flattening the circular fabric and brushing all four sides, completing a full rotation, which simply takes four times the effort.
It is finished with pre-brushing, where the brushing is done before dyeing.
Following vintage sewing techniques, most seams are double-stitched, but the cuffs feature circular knit ribbing, and the cuff ribbing is attached in one continuous process directly from the double-stitched underarm seam.
We have recreated a piece that faithfully reproduces the sewing techniques of that era, making it a vintage item that is now nearly impossible to obtain.
