CHAMPS, which has been well-received with every release, is now available in three colors: the new NASU-KON (navy), and the previously popular MINT and Salt & Pepper. The new NASU-KON color is inspired by the faded navy hue of vintage items that have survived to the present day and have been worn in. MINT reproduces the original design of the owner's vintage collection. Salt & Pepper uses classic twisted yarn and is based on a 1940s freedom sleeve sweatshirt design. It retains the vintage feel while incorporating a modern fit. The body is knitted on an old Azuma knitting machine, producing a seamless, tubular knit. This knitting machine dates back to the 1970s, a period when knitting machines transitioned from hanging machines to innovative knitting machines, and is characterized by a textured fleece lining. In addition to the usual napping process, the fabric undergoes 4-sided napping to improve its texture. It is napped before dyeing. The sewing faithfully reproduces vintage specifications, with almost all seams done with double-needle stitching. The cuffs are finished with circular knit ribs, and the ribs are integrated from the armpit seam. This creates a piece rich in vintage charm.
