The body is circular knitted on an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine. This machine, developed during the transition from loopwheel knitting to innovative knitting machines in the 1970s, produces a soft, richly textured fleece. Furthermore, the fleece is brushed on four sides in addition to the usual circular brushing, giving the fabric a deeper texture. Brushing the fabric before dyeing further enhances the richness of the texture.
The stitching faithfully reproduces the original details. Almost everything is finished with twin needle stitching, and the cuffs feature circular knit ribbing.
