CHAMPS will also release new 2-TONE models. This time, we will offer new colors NASU-KON (Navy) and Salt & Pepper, as well as the popular previous color combination of Mint and Salt & Pepper. The color schemes are based on 1940s vintage sweatshirt designs, evoking a nostalgic vintage feel. These two patterns are based on 1940s freedom-sleeve sweatshirts, tailored to a modern fit while retaining vintage charm. The body is knitted on an old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine, producing a seamless, tubular fabric. This type of knitting machine represents a transitional period around the 1970s, when loopwheel knitting machines were replaced by innovative knitting machines, and is characterized by its uniquely textured fleece lining. For the brushing process, in addition to standard circular brushing, brushing is applied to all four sides, which is time-consuming but enhances the material's texture. Furthermore, the material is pre-brushed before dyeing, deepening its texture even more. The stitching also faithfully replicates vintage designs, with almost all seams done with twin needles. The cuffs are finished with circular knit ribs, attached directly from the underarm seam. By reproducing the sewing techniques of that era, a truly vintage-inspired piece has been created.
