JELADO Ben Lilly Horse Hide Grizzly JKT Horse hide Semi-aniline Finish Black【AG63432】

This jacket, named "Ben Lilly," is named after the famous bear hunter who lived from 1856 to 1936.
Ben Lilly was said to have hunted such a fearsome number of bears that he was responsible for halving the bear population in America.
We have re-examined the leather used for grizzly jackets, also known as bear jackets, and revived it with higher quality horsehide.
The material used is a newly developed horsehide, approximately 1.6mm thick, which has undergone combination tanning (chrome × tannin).
After chrome tanning, the solvents are washed off and then re-tanned with tannin, which brings out the strengths of tannin, resulting in a leather with a good sense of weight and character that increases with wear.
The base is dyed light brown, and then black is applied with hill dyeing by a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo, resulting in a tea-core leather.
This time, to achieve a stronger black, it is finished with semi-aniline, a mixture of pigment and dye in equal parts.
The dye, which colors the base, and the pigment, which forms a thin film on top, match perfectly, creating a beautiful aging process with wear.
The leather has a softness not found in 100% pigment finishes, and because a thin film is applied, the base color quickly appears with wear.
The sheepskin used this time is luxurious North American-sourced material with long hair.
The color is olive dyed in a paddle, and olive sheepskin is used for both the black and chocolate bases.
Pursuing the ultimate vintage feel, this bear jacket has evolved even further than the previous one.
Nut buttons are used to match the atmosphere of the time.
The design is based on a 1930s LAKELAND bear jacket, with slight modifications.
The cuffs are now cuffed, and the previous design, which had a belt and buckle on the front, has been changed to one without a belt and with side adjusters, giving it a more stylish impression.
By punching eyelets into the pocket openings, we have enhanced the vintage feel of the era.
The silhouette is not too narrow, offering a clean fit, yet it is an urban grizzly jacket that combines the ruggedness, boldness, and solid construction characteristic of a bear jacket.
