JELADO's flagship model, the "Age of Longing 301XX Vintage Finish," is being released exclusively for the online shop renewal.
Based on the fading of actual vintage denim, this item features carefully applied, time-consuming hand-shaving and washing processes to achieve a natural faded look.
This time, we deliberately avoided distressing and opted for a natural fade rather than sharp whiskering, giving the impression of denim that has been washed many times. This look is perfect for spring and summer outfits.

〜Age of Longing 301XX〜

15 years have passed since JELADO was founded.
Looking back on 15 years of history, we decided to thoroughly pursue denim, which was our very first endeavor. Starting from selecting the cotton fibers themselves, we aimed to create high-quality, meticulously crafted denim once again. This was the vision that launched the Age of Longing 301XX.

We examined the materials of Levi's 501XX, a classic vintage denim. We deconstructed deadstock denim and had the threads and weave of the fabric analyzed by a national testing institution.
Based on the results of that analysis, we began the process of creating our original denim fabric, "LAST RESORT," starting from the thread production itself.

For the sewing factory that could finish this meticulously crafted fabric with the closest level of passion, we chose a domestic Japanese factory that had previously sewn for Company L (an American jeans company that is arguably the origin of everything). We requested that they sew it to the same specifications as JELADO's own vintage items.

From the type of thread, the number of stitches per inch for each part, to even the irregular specification of having a different sewing thread for just one belt loop – parts that would normally be a hassle were readily agreed to and faithfully reproduced.
The sizing was also adjusted meticulously many times to match vintage dimensions.
The fabric direction, sewing method, stitch length, and other details of the original 501XX were re-examined and precisely reproduced.
The leather label, unlike regular leather labels, uses horsehide with an uneven surface texture and features a rubbed, red print.
This leather patch, with its noticeable surface roughness, results in a faded or blurred print, allowing you to enjoy a different vintage-like appearance on each individual item.

And to complement the denim, into which we poured our utmost passion for the thread, dye, fabric, and sewing, all the accessories have also been renewed.
We produced iron tack buttons and created two types of original all-copper rivets.
The hidden rivets also reproduce the same size as the 501XX with a unique design not typically found.
Everything was proceeded with the aim of achieving the same finish as back then.


"Age Of Longing" was named with the desire to revive the jeans we longed for from that era, utilizing all of our past experience and production background to the fullest.
