【18th Anniversary Item】JELADO Age of Longing 406EXX Size 42 (XL) - 44 (XXL) 【JP82406EXX】

The 406EXX will be released as a special 18th-anniversary item, one of the highlights of the 2023 MS COLLECTION.

From the time JELADO developed LAST RESORT DENIM, we have been offering the 406XX. However, this time we are releasing the 507XX with a single-sided tab, which was released by Levi's in 1952 and manufactured for only one year. This is what is known as the very first "second" model.

Levi's replaced the long-standing classic 506XX with the 507XX, and the model underwent a significant change to become a new staple. These changes included symmetrical pockets, altered button positions on the cuffs, and the abolition of the buckle-back. While the visual specifications changed, some sewing procedures and specifications were carried over directly, and materials and supplies, such as the single-sided tab, were also carried over from the 1940s. Inspired by this, we created a special 406XX using black-tag LAST RESORT DENIM.

We revised the pattern to match the vintage item we targeted this time. While the basic dimensions remain unchanged, we altered the size of the pockets and the collar. The sleeves of the vintage item we targeted had a rainbow stitching pattern, so we reproduced it as is, using two-color double stitching.

The special aspect of this item lies in the attention to detail of the accessories. First, we re-examined the button design and created new iron buttons. The most significant commitment to this product this time is the sewing thread. As we pursued realism in the fabric and approached vintage-accurate dimensions and sewing techniques, we became more particular about the color of the sewing thread and how it fades. Therefore, we specially used sewing thread dyed with sulfide dye for this item. Sulfide dye is difficult to match in color, so we made an unreasonable request to the dyeing factory to dye a small quantity for us. Consequently, this production is limited to 300 pieces.
