It settles onto the body from the first wearing, with a comfort you will not find in a typical heavyweight denim. That natural give — sometimes called "natural stretch" — keeps it easy to wear over long days. The way black denim ages is one of its great pleasures. The deep black shifts into a richer expression with every wear and wash, growing into a pair that is yours alone. The silhouette follows the blue 301XX, with a slightly higher rise. Built on close study of 1950s 501XX originals, it keeps the rugged character of the period while sitting naturally in a modern wardrobe. The 301XX Black Denim pursues everything that makes vintage denim compelling, without giving up everyday wearability. Once the garment was finished, we treated it to give the grey-faded look of well-worn vintage black denim. A stone-bio wash recreates the same atmosphere as a genuinely faded vintage piece.
