This garment takes our highly celebrated Type 2 denim jacket silhouette and executes it in a beautiful, natural ecru denim that bypasses the traditional indigo-dyeing process completely. The LAST RESORT Shiro-Tag (White Tag) denim utilized for this piece is crafted from premium American cotton, engineered by disassembling and thoroughly researching a pristine, deadstock piece of early-1950s XX fabric. By scientifically analyzing the precise thread weights, cotton fiber lengths, and yarn twist counts, we successfully recreated the original textile from scratch. The fabric is woven on a legendary 1950s Toyoda G3 shuttle loom, running at a deliberately slow speed to capture that authentic, highly tactile vintage texture.
Garments utilizing this prestigious denim are adorned with our proprietary XX-stamped signature labels, while the paper patch proudly displays our "AGE OF LONGING" branding. The architecture of the jacket is a faithful, line-for-line reproduction of a genuine vintage Second Type jacket. The entire construction is sewn with an uncompromising commitment to historical accuracy, matching the exact thread colors and yarn weights dictated by mid-century manufacturing guidelines.
Furthermore, we integrated a lighter-ounce denim fabric along the inner pocket flaps as a direct nod to period-correct production anomalies. The main front closure is fitted with raw iron buttons, the cuffs are secured with our custom-engineered copper sleeve rivets, and the jacket is finished with a premium rayon red tab to round out an incredibly authentic presentation. The silhouette mirrors our indigo-dyed 406XX model, offering a beautifully balanced, modern-fitting line that serves as an exceptionally versatile wardrobe staple.
