Following the unprecedented success of our 41 Khaki, we have returned to this iconic silhouette with a completely new material profile, tailoring this version using our 10.5-ounce LAST RESORT Ao-Tag (Blue Tag) denim. This specific release marks a special custom edition featuring hand-applied PW stencils. Because each garment is stenciled entirely by hand, it yields subtle individual variations that beautifully capture the raw, authentic character of genuine vintage military artifacts.

To develop this textile, we completely disassembled a vintage 1940s Lee chore coat, analyzing its yarn thickness, weave density, and slub intensity. To accurately reproduce the heavily faded character seen on surviving mid-century artifacts, we randomly wove three distinct thread weights into the warp, ensuring the fabric yields beautiful, irregular vertical fading lines. With a comfortable 10.5-ounce weight, these trousers offer an effortless wearability that is perfect as the weather begins to cool.

Departing slightly from the traditional 1940s Lee-based Blue Tag fabric configuration, we wove this particular version using an unbleached ecru yarn for the weft. While it retains the same Deep South cotton composition, size 8, 9, and 10 warp thread counts, and size 9 weft thread count, the distinct coloration of the ecru weft gives the face of the denim a subtly lighter, more nuanced initial appearance.

Mirroring our staple 41 Khaki design, we executed the construction with an exceptional level of historical precision by incorporating period-accurate hallmarks such as the distinctively offset rear belt loop and vintage-spec 2mm ultra-narrow double-welt pockets.

We even utilized separate contrast fabrics for the pocket linings to further elevate the authentic mid-century atmosphere. As a defining characteristic unique to these 41 Denim Trousers, we equipped the front fly with premium metal buttons to deliver a more luxurious hardware profile. Because this piece is engineered with the exact same silhouette measurements as our traditional 41 Khaki, it serves as a highly recommended addition to the wardrobe of anyone who loves that classic wide-leg fit.
