JELADO 24/7 Leather Sports Jacket [AG72417]

This is the 24/7 (Twenty-Four Seven) from the BASIC COLLECTION.
This 1930s-style sports jacket from JELADO was named with the hope that it would be worn constantly, like a convenience store that operates 24/7 without taking a break. We created this jacket by following the design of a vintage piece from a lesser-known brand that has interesting details. It is made from approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide leather that has been tanned using a combination (chrome x tannin) process. After chrome tanning, the solvent is washed off and then it is tanned again with tannin to bring out the advantages of tannin, and the material is prepared to have a moderate weight to the leather and to increase in character as it is worn. After dyeing the base coat light brown, it was sprayed with black using the hill dyeing method at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo. This is what is known as brown-core leather. This time, in order to make the black stronger, we applied the color using a semi-aniline finish with a mixture of pigment and dye in equal parts. After dyeing, the leather is tumbled to bring out its texture. The dye that colors the base and the pigment that forms the coating on top are perfectly matched, resulting in a beautiful aging process as you wear it. The softness of the leather, which is not present in 100% pigment-based leather, and the thin coating, mean that the base color will quickly show through as you wear it.
To make it simple and easy to wear, the lining is not quilted but made of black cupra, making it a leather jacket that can be worn in spring.
