We have created a utility pack that combines a rugged appearance with the functional beauty of a tool. It has been re-envisioned based on utility designs found in travel bags, work bags, and military gear that existed in America.
This product incorporates the rugged and practical details seen in the tools of that era, which supported travel and transport, into a modern size balance. It utilizes fabric with a motif of bus signs used in England around the 1950s to 1970s.
The unadorned typography and color schemes, actually used for destination displays, strongly retain the atmosphere unique to public transportation of that time. All black areas are hand-painted, so the worn feel and rustic texture, similar to vintage fabric, are also part of its charm.
Since each item is cut from a single bus sign fabric, the pattern placement will differ for each one.
