The "Field Recon M-51" is named after "Recon," meaning reconnaissance and exploration. Based on the M-51 field pants adopted by the US ARMY in the 1950s, it inherits the functional beauty of battle-ready specifications, such as a wide silhouette and large cargo pockets, designed for movement and outdoor activities in cold regions.

Vintage tent canvas used by the US military until around the 1960s was dismantled and re-constructed into the M-51.

By combining military materials with different uses,

we created a piece with a profound expression.

The patchwork, with its unique color differences and fading that only USED items have, is also

a distinctive feature.

Tent canvas is a material used for military tents that soldiers used during encampments. The high-density cotton canvas fabric used in this work was used by the US ARMY around the 1950s and 60s, and it has the fading and scuffs from age, and the rugged texture characteristic of military materials.
