The popular collaboration sweatshirt "CHAMPS" has been released with a new print. The print faithfully recreates the atmosphere of bowling league sweatshirts from that era, giving it a classic feel.
The body is specially made by Riding High and features our unique Freedom Sleeve. It is made using a rare, old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine, with a circular knitting technique that has no side seams. This knitting machine was introduced in the 1970s during the transition from loopwheel knitting machines to more innovative knitting machines, and the slow, careful knitting gives it excellent elasticity, a soft feel, and a fluffy texture.
This creates a unique texture. The fleece lining is light and has a vintage-like feel. Furthermore, the brushing process is done with four times the effort than usual to evenly brush the fabric on all four sides. In addition, a pre-brushing process is used, which brushes the fabric before dyeing, resulting in a rich texture. The stitching faithfully reproduces vintage sweatshirts, with almost all of the garment being made with a twin needle. The cuffs use circular knit ribbing and are sewn in one continuous stitch from the armpits. The details of the time have been incorporated into every detail.
