We asked FIRSTARROWS to create a special silver concho button that would go well with Hubbell. This button was inspired by the stampwork created by Native Americans in the 1930s and 40s, and was designed to match the historical context of the Hubbell coat.
In this JELADO initiative, we combined the Thunderbird motif from the Laguna series with the arrow, which is a symbol of FIRSTARROWS. In addition, we placed the sun logo, which is the trademark of the brand, in the center, making it a design that pays attention to every detail.
The silver conchos are engraved with a stamp and then roughly polished to give them the distinctive darkening that is characteristic of vintage items of the time. A further process of kneading the conchos with an iron ball creates a unique dull luster and uneven texture, giving them a vintage-like finish.
These buttons are made for threading and are perfect for the Hubbell coat, but they are also versatile and can be easily matched with other items. They go well with all of our Native American style items and can be used as an accent to further enhance the appeal of the items.
