We released the "491-J" as a very special item for us. This item pays homage to my origins, a vintage shop called "SPROUT" that I started 20 years ago. In order to open this store, I traveled to the United States, saving up money and slowly gathering items for the opening. While there, I came across a pair of Lee Housemark jeans in my size, purchased them, and using the items in my collection as a base, analyzed the fabric, and developed the 10.5 oz. light-weight "LASTRESORTDENIM." This special denim features craftsmanship not found in regular light-weight denim, and we also designed accessories that are just as impressive.
All of the buttons, including the large swivel buttons, the small swivel buttons on the sleeves, and the snap buttons on the chest pocket, are all original creations.
The original vintage coveralls bear the Lee house mark and are believed to have been manufactured between 1938 and 1946. While the approximate date can be determined from the name tag, they are characterized by the inscription "SANFORIZED" and the Lee "e" pointing diagonally upwards. Like the originals, the stitching is done in gray and white, creating a more subdued and vintage feel. The front patch pockets are also recreated, emulating Lee's distinctive straight stitching with extra bottom sewn in. With wear, the uneven texture of the warp threads, woven with three different thicknesses, is revealed, allowing for a vintage-inspired, random vertical fade. This is the ultimate workwear piece, and we highly recommend you enjoy it.
