The denim pullover, which was officially adopted as the uniform of the early American Army, was changed from the khaki color to blue denim after 1935 and began to be issued as a general-purpose work uniform for outdoor activities other than combat. It was also worn by support units such as engineers on the front lines. After WWII, it was changed to a front-opening coverall style, but the existing stock continued to be issued as general-purpose workwear. Especially towards the end of the war, these used clothes, along with similar civilian clothing, were reportedly used in various facilities such as prisoner-of-war camps and military prisons as workwear. Although the structure is simple, its pattern concept is classic, reflecting the times, and significantly differs from military wear after the 1940s in terms of sleeve attachment and body fitting.
