The denim pullover, which was officially adopted as a uniform for the early American Army, was changed from khaki to blue denim after 1935 and issued as a general-purpose work uniform for outdoor activities excluding combat. It was worn by support units such as various engineers even on the front lines. After WWII, it was changed to an open-front coverall style, but the existing stock continued to be issued as general-purpose workwear. Especially towards the end of the war, it is said that these used clothes, along with similar civilian garments, were used as workwear in various facilities such as prisoner-of-war camps and military prisons. Although it has a simple structure, its pattern concept is classic and reflects the times. The sleeve attachment and body fitting are significantly different compared to military wear from the 1940s onwards.
This product reproduces these unique forms while retaining their original taste.
We hope you enjoy the contrast between the fading of the selvedge denim and the white stitching.
With a relaxed fit, the denim is neither too thick nor too thin, providing a comfortable feel.
The buttons are engraved with "U.S. ARMY."
