Following the success of the N-1 Deck Jacket, a long-type parka was developed for use in more severe environments, and was issued primarily to deck officers who had to command in exposed conditions for long periods of time, as well as crew members of observation aircraft and balloons. This product is modeled after a coat from that time that was modified by shortening the length. The lining is light brown alpaca pile. The soft alpaca fabric is comfortable to wear and keeps you warm. The front is a combination of buttons and a zipper, the buttons are nut buttons and the zipper is TALON. The ribs are original and made from 100% wool. The waist also has a drawstring adjuster on the back, making it adjustable. The leather parts are made of horsehide.
