Redesigned based on the winter deck work parka produced for the US Navy and Marine Corps around the end of the Great War.
This jacket was actually available commercially as the N-2 at the time, and there are many instances of soldiers purchasing it with their own money and wearing it in combat.
The material is 100% cotton high-density grosgrain with a paraffin coating on the outer fabric.
By applying a paraffin coating to the cotton fabric, it is made into a strong fabric that is windproof, coldproof, and water repellent.
The lining is made of wool alpaca.
The soft lining provides both comfort and warmth.
This is an original Colimbo jacket that reproduces the best warmth and quality of the time.
The front features a combination of buttons and a "TALON" bell-shaped zipper.
The buttons are nut buttons.
The patch pockets on the front are designed like those seen on deck jackets from the 1940s, with leather reinforcement, making them a distinctive design.
In addition, there is a small pocket inside the right pocket.
The distinctive hood has an alpaca lining and is adjustable with a belt.
The waist is also adjustable with a snap-button adjuster on the inside.
Details similar to the early N-1, such as the loops under the arms, the alpaca lining extending to the cuffs, and the drawcord at the hem, remain.
