COLIMBO Observer JKT (Type N-1) =USCG Supply= [ZA-0154]

This jacket is modeled after the early type of winter deck work jacket produced for the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps around the end of WWII.
Surplus stock, mass-produced in a hurry, became available in the post-war U.S. as surplus goods and was embraced by young people who were passionate about motorsports, thus spreading into civilian use.
The outer material is 100% cotton original grosgrain fabric.
The lining is light brown alpaca pile.
The soft alpaca fabric combines comfort and warmth.
The front closure is a combination of buttons and a zipper, with nut buttons and a TALON zipper.
The waist also has a drawstring adjuster on the inside, allowing for adjustment.

Reproduces the stencil of the supply management unit that was actually used by the USCG supply unit.
The rough-looking stencil gives a practical marking feel for material sorting and re-issuance.
