COLIMBO G-1 (Type 55J-14) -Plane- [ZW-0131]

The "TYPE G-1 JACKET" is a representative product of the COLIMBO brand, released annually with changes to the base model.
This season, a piece that can be called a "masterpiece" among them has been completed.
The leather flight jacket "G-1", a symbol of the US Navy Air Corps, officially received its name around 1947 with the appearance of "SPEC 55J14" after the war. This was a culmination point reached after repeated model changes from the early 1940s.
This particular model is based on the "STAR SPORTS Co. SPEC:55J14" that began to be issued around 1949.
It features a design that can truly be called a "transitional G-1," combining the feel of wartime M-442A and AN-J-2 with details of the next-generation J-7823. Vegetable-tanned goatskin is dyed with aniline dye, faithfully reproducing the rough grain texture as it was back then.
It brilliantly expresses a texture that closely resembles vintage.
The lining uses a heavy cotton rayon satin fabric.
