COLIMBO's classic G-1 (AN-J-3A) is back with a new model!
The G-1 was originally developed as a flight jacket for aviators (traditionally a term used by the U.S. Navy to refer to pilots) in the 1930s, with the first model being adopted in the 1940s.
This model is from around 1945 and is the AN-J-3A "common equipment for both the Army and Navy" jacket.
Compared to the regular G-1, this hybrid model has a classic narrow shape and a slightly shorter length, with red rayon satin lining and an oxidized brass zipper, making it a specification that is full of various thought and charm.
The leather used for this body is goatskin, fully vegetable tanned and finished with pigment lacquer.
The finely textured grain and unique reddish leather with a strong vintage feel create an outstanding atmosphere.
This leather combines the water-resistant durability that is unique to goatskin with the leather's high moisture retention properties.
The lining is made of cotton rayon satin fabric, which is 35% cotton and 65% rayon, making it a smooth and durable lining.
The buttons are carved buffalo marble buttons.
The collar is made of luxurious Beaver Lamb mouton fur.
The ribbing is made of virgin wool with two-tiered ribbing.
The silhouette has been updated this year with a more relaxed fit around the shoulders, chest and arms.
The length is long and it can be worn comfortably without feeling constricting.
It has a slightly loose silhouette, typical of a flight jacket, and goes great with denim, as well as work pants and trousers.
