The "TYPE G-1 JACKET" is a flagship product of the COLIMBO brand, released annually with an updated base model. This season, we've created a piece that can truly be called a masterpiece among masterpieces. The name "G-1" for the leather flight jacket, a symbol of the U.S. Navy Air Corps, officially came into use with the "SPEC 55J14," which appeared around 1947 after the war. This was a culmination point, reached after numerous model changes since the early 1940s. This model's base design is the "SPEC:M422a" model under the Navy's unique code. Specifically, it is based on the design by E.T.C. Co., characterized by a construction that is literally a "G-1." Vegetable-tanned goatskin is aniline-dyed and finished with lacquer, faithfully reproducing the rugged grain texture of the original era. It magnificently expresses a texture that closely approximates vintage pieces. The lining uses heavy cotton-rayon satin.
