Traditional Mackinaw-style coat.
Made with a specially ordered dense wool melton fabric.
The front yoke features a heavy-duty double-layer construction without seams, extending to the lower back.
Nut buttons are used.
Wool has high heat retention and regulating properties, so the coat is unlined with a single-layer specification, and the fabric edges are finished with extremely fine piping.
This special duty coat was adopted by the U.S. Army in the 1930s, and instead of the common khaki color, it was made in dark navy.
