Our popular collaboration sweatshirt "CHAMPS" is a special edition, featuring our signature Freedom Sleeve, commissioned by Riding High. It was made on a rare, old-fashioned Azuma knitting machine, featuring a circular knitting technique with no side seams. This knitting machine was developed in the 1970s during the transition from loopwheel knitting to more innovative knitting techniques. Its slow, careful knitting creates excellent stretch, a soft feel, and a unique, fluffy texture. The fleece lining is lightweight and boasts a vintage-inspired feel. Furthermore, the fabric is brushed evenly on all four sides, four times more time-consuming than usual. The brushing process, which is applied before dyeing, achieves a rich texture. The stitching faithfully replicates vintage sweatshirts, with almost all of the sweatshirts being sewn with twin needles. The cuffs feature circular knit ribbing, sewn in one continuous stitch from the underarms. The details of the original are woven into every detail. This is a carefully crafted piece that combines a classic look with modern technology.
