Based on a vintage sweatshirt we own, we developed a vintage-style two-tone sweatshirt in new color combinations. For this collection, we created two colors: a switch design of glass green and smoke black, and its inverted version. We use an old Azuma knitting machine for manufacturing, knitting it in a circular body (no side seams). The use of this Azuma knitting machine resulted in a material that is soft, highly elastic, and has an unprecedented fluffy feel. The Azuma knitting machine is used to create fleece fabric with a vintage texture and lightness, and is now extremely rare. This knitting machine appeared in the 1970s during the transition from loopwheel knitting machines to new knitting machines, and due to its unique knitting method, only a limited number exist. Therefore, this material has a bumpy surface and fluffy texture similar to that of loopwheel knitting machines.We also use a special method for the napping process. Normal napping is done on a flat surface all at once, but circular napping requires napping on four sides and a full rotation, which takes four times more effort than normal napping. Furthermore, napping before dyeing emphasizes the unique texture of the material.The sewing is almost entirely done with twin needles, and the cuffs use circular knit ribs. The cuff ribs are attached in one go from the twin needle sewing under the armpits, faithfully reproducing vintage sewing methods.
