In 1939, after Finnish soldiers on skis repelled the Soviet army, the U.S. Army recognized the need for a mountain unit. In 1941, the 87th Mountain Infantry Battalion was formed, later becoming the 10th Mountain Division, which underwent rigorous training in Colorado. In 1945, during the Battle of Monte Belvedere in Italy, the ski troops' night attack succeeded, greatly surprising the German forces.
This organization was born at an army base built in the Rocky Mountains of Colorado, known as "Camp Hale," on July 13, 1943.

Among the many specifications for the "M-42 Parka ski reversible," this version is based on a pullover with a zipper front and no fur around the collar, faithfully preserving the original specifications while improving the hood for a larger size and adjusting the length for a longer balance to function as a RAIN PARKA.

Fabric previously used by JELADO was patchworked and given a water-repellent finish.
While JDG13422 used vintage fabric, this current work updates to JELADO's LAST RESORT FABRIC.
