BRUTAL FLEECE will soon be released in mass production for 25AW, and for the first time, we have developed a printed version.
It faithfully follows the vintage T-shirt design and is expressed using a dye-sublimation print.
The body is named "BRUTAL FLEECE" to represent its tough construction that can withstand harsh training.
The ultimate sweatshirt. Originally knitted from a 40s double V heathered grey sweatshirt and sewn using a vintage sewing machine.
The production was thoroughly crafted with the cooperation of the discerning brand REBUILT.
The fabric uses #20 top thread for the front, #40 off-white thread for the middle, and #8 off-white thread for the back, recreating a deep heathered grey just like a vintage piece. The off-white of the middle thread is subtly adjusted to show on the front, creating a natural heathered look that only top thread can provide. The fabric has a fluffy texture that is unique to loopwheel knitting machines, and any stretching or sagging that occurs after wearing can be restored by washing. The fabric is sewn using the same vintage sewing machines as used at the time, with meticulous attention paid to every detail. The fabric is sewn together using a SINGER 105-4 (double chainstitch sewing machine) and cut appropriately, and the back is covered with a twin needle. The unique stitching
The tight weave creates a vintage look. The cuff ribbing is finished with a loop loop for strength and stretchability. UNION SPECIAL 11900 is used to hold the edges in place while sewing, preventing the seams from bunching or rippling.
UNION SPECIAL 52800 is used for the collar binder, and by sewing it in from the back, thicker silk thread is placed on the front side, improving elasticity and strength while preventing thread breakage.
