We have created a leather vest befitting the 2026 theme of "SHIBU-KAJI." Among SHIBU-KAJI styles, biker fashion is considered the most iconic and hardcore. We referenced vintage archives to reinterpret the leather vest styles commonly seen back then and elevated it into this piece. The model name is derived from a Californian area, reflecting the strong roots of outdoor culture such as touring and camping. The design is inspired by 1930s zip-up leather vests, made thicker than vintage pieces for a more substantial presence. The material used is 1.6mm thick Polish horsehide. It is tanned using the traditional Tuscan "Vacchetta" method with natural fats at the venerable Italian tannery Il Ponte, and then imported to Japan as pre-dyed leather. Afterward, it undergoes vibration processing and dyeing at a tannery in the Tatsuno region, giving it suppleness, and is finished with only dyes. Furthermore, it is a thick horsehide with a deep texture, with the luster maximized using a water-based casein finish. As you wear it, the natural texture of the leather will become more prominent, and the underlying brown color will emerge, allowing you to enjoy a deep, vintage-like aging process. A black leather vest is an essential item for the SHIBU-KAJI style. It is a piece for adults that is both rugged and refined.
