"LAST RESORT CHINO CLOTH" has released a vintage finish version of their classic 41 Khaki. These pants were sampled from a collection of fabric scraps from over 70 years ago and have been painted to create a natural paint stain look that resembles a realistic painting job. As with "LAST RESORT DENIM," the material is carefully selected from several types of deadstock M41 KHAKI, and has been meticulously crafted with consideration given to the production background and technical capabilities of the time, including the thickness of the thread, the shape of the unevenness, the number of twists, and the direction of twist. It is made with American Deep South cotton, which is the basis for Gerard.
The shape of the unevenness is natural, neither too strong nor too weak, reproducing the uneven yarn of that time.
While the previous materials were dyed with reactive dyes, this time they were dyed with threne dyes, which were used at the time. Although threne dyes are of a slightly lower quality than modern reactive dyes, they were an excellent dye for the 50s, being resistant to fastness, friction, and sunlight.
For this reason, it was widely used for tough materials such as work clothes and towels.
The fabric is made with American cotton, a shuttle loom, and sulfur dyes, giving it a vintage feel that allows you to enjoy the changes that occur with each wash. Features include offset belt loops and vintage-style 2mm-wide double-welted pockets.
The jeans also feature distinctive and highly reproducible details, such as the use of lining for regular pockets, but a separate chino fabric is used, just like the vintage sampled. The side seams also have a pronounced puckering, creating a thicker silhouette that further emphasizes the rugged impression when worn. The stitching and other details are also in line with the original pitch, creating a more classic look that is characteristic of the 41 Khaki, with a deep rise and wide thighs.
