LAST RESORT CHINO CLOTH has released a vintage finish of their classic 41 khaki.
These pants were sampled from a collection of fabric scraps over 70 years ago and then painted.
It gives the impression of natural paint stains, just like a realistic paint job.
Like "LAST RESORT DENIM", this material is made from carefully selected materials from several types of deadstock M41 KHAKI, and is made with the utmost consideration given to the production background and technical capabilities of the time in terms of thread thickness, unevenness, number of twists, twist direction, etc. The raw cotton used is American Deep South cotton, which is the basis of Gerard.
The shape of the unevenness is natural, neither too strong nor too weak, reproducing the uneven yarn of that time.
In the past, the materials were dyed with reactive dyes, but this time they were dyed with the sulfur dyes that were used at the time.
Although the dye quality of threne dyes is somewhat lower than that of modern reactive dyes, they were excellent dyes for the 50s, being resistant to fastness, friction, and sunlight.
For this reason, it was widely used for tough materials such as work clothes and towels.
In order to enjoy the changes that occur over time with each wash, we used American cotton, shuttle looms, and sulfur dyes to create a texture reminiscent of the vintage of the time. We also pursued distinctive and highly reproducible details such as offset belt loops and 2mm wide double welt pockets just like the vintage. While normally a sleek material is used for the pockets, a separate chino fabric is used, just like the vintage sampled.
In addition, the side seams have strong puckering, giving the pants a thicker silhouette that emphasizes their rugged look when worn. The stitching is also in line with the original pitch, giving the pants a more classic feel that is characteristic of 41 Khaki, with a deep rise and wide thighs, creating a vintage silhouette. LAST RESORT CHINO CLOTH was created as the ultimate chino cloth, with a focus on the raw cotton, thread, weaving, and dyeing.
