Our standard short-sleeved work shirt, born from the idea of creating a realistic work shirt, is now available in a new fabric.
It uses 100% cotton indigo stripe fabric.
While firm and substantial, the fabric is soft and comfortable, conforming easily to the body.
The buttons are original metal buttons with a rust treatment for a vintage-like finish.
Given that many work items with rare, eye-catching details are circulating today, we designed this short-sleeved shirt with a classic design from a realistic work perspective.
However, it may be surprising, but original (vintage) short-sleeved chambray shirts are hard to find.
Most of them were long-sleeved shirts with the sleeves cut by the buyers at the time (or later years).
Many workwear brands existed in the 1940s and 1950s, but only a handful produced short-sleeved chambray shirts.
Therefore, while it's an orthodox item in terms of design, from a vintage clothing perspective, it's a highly valued and appreciated item.
This time, we've put together such an original short-sleeved chambray shirt in an orthodox way, incorporating robust workwear specifications.
The collar has double stitching, the body seams are triple-stitched, both sides of the body have gussets, and a union ticket is sewn on the inside of the left front hem.
Both chest pockets are practical flap pockets.
This is a workwear item with a realistic perspective, deliberately refraining from special details such as asymmetrical 'Gacha-poke' or 'Yama-poke' pockets.
The length is kept short so that it can be worn with a clean silhouette while allowing plenty of room around the armpits.
