This is a G-jean type leather jacket made from horsehide, focusing on a 1944 denim jacket from the World War II era.
The material used is approximately 1.6mm thick horsehide. It is finished with a "combination tanning" process, where it is first chrome-tanned, then the solvent is washed away, and re-tanned with vegetable tannins. This process creates a leather that offers the richness of tannins and develops a deep, tasteful appearance with wear.
The base leather is dyed light brown, then "tea-core" dyed black at a long-established finishing factory in Tokyo.
The finish uses a semi-aniline process, which combines dyes and pigments in a balanced way. The suppleness of the dye and the light coating of the pigment are exquisitely blended, allowing the underlying color to gradually emerge with repeated wear, promising a tasteful aging process.
The buttons are laurel wreath buttons with an oxidized blue finish.
The back reproduces the "T-back" fabric seam detail, which was previously only found on sizes 46 and larger. It also features a buckle-back to further enhance its classic feel.
The silhouette is based on a vintage 1st type, with a slightly extended length for a modern update. While maintaining a clean line, it strongly retains its classic appearance.
This jacket is characterized by its simple design and soft, comfortable horsehide. It is truly a versatile leather jacket that can be worn regardless of age, style, or season.
