Hemming up

For items purchased at other stores

JELADO also offers hemming of JELADO products purchased at other stores for a fee.

Generally, spun thread (polyester) is used for hemming, but this does not allow the thread to shrink and does not produce the ideal crease. At our shop, we use 100% cotton katan thread (cotton thread), which allows the thread to shrink and change over time to produce a vintage-like crease. We also use Union Special (vintage sewing machine) sewing machines. For special pants, we highly recommend special hemming.

*We are no longer accepting requests to hem products from other companies.

Flow of hemming

1. Please contact us by phone or email.

We will ask you which item you would like hemmed and your payment method (cash on delivery or bank transfer).

 

 2. Send your jeans to our store

Please include instructions on hemming.

Example of instructions:

a. "I would like to increase my heel height by x centimeters."

*We can hem the pants more accurately than by saying "X centimeters from the inseam."

b. Please use clips or tape to secure the desired position before sending it.

 

3. Payment

(1) If the payment method is cash on delivery

We will ship the item as soon as the hemming is completed. Please pay the shipping fee to the delivery person of the shipping company when you receive the item.

(2) If payment is made by bank transfer

Please make payment to the bank account you provided when you made your inquiry.

 

4. Returning Products

Once the hemming is complete, we will return the item to you. If you have a preferred date and time, please let our staff know when you discuss the hemming details.

 

Please note

Please note that you will be responsible for shipping and return shipping costs.

We are unable to hem unwashed (rigid) or heavy-weight (17 ounces or more) pants as the finish may not be ideal.

Please wash and dry before sending. If the item is still damp or has not been dried, or if it is badly stained, we may contact you to confirm or refuse to send it to you.

If there is damage to the hem, we may not be able to accept it depending on the situation.

If the finished position is close to the original stitching, the original stitching will be undone before hemming. Therefore, please note that there is a possibility that the needle holes may be visible or fibers may come out from the needle holes.

We usually discard the scraps. If you would like to have the denim returned, please write clearly as much as possible on the sheet of paper with your postal code, address, name, phone number, and emergency contact number (e.g. mobile number) and say "I would like the scraps returned" when you send us the denim.
