Unlike the 301EXX, I don't wear this one very often. I mainly use it as an inner layer for coats in winter, so the pleats and flaps have aged from rubbing against the coat. I washed it with the 301EXX, so it's been washed a total of 4 times. I also put it in the dryer, so it's tightly packed, and you can see puckering on the flaps and back yoke. Unlike pants, there isn't drastic aging, but there is overall fading. I can still enjoy further aging, so I plan to continue breaking it in at my own pace.

Since I started wearing it in July, I initially wore it mainly indoors, such as in stores. From October to May, I wore it every day at home as a set-up, and even as pajamas when I slept, so I must have worn it for at least 10 hours a day. After 10 months, the jeans had faded more than the jacket, so to match the colors, I started wearing the set-up less often when going out and paired it more with chinos and such. Regarding washing, after 2 months, I gave both top and bottom their first wash to remove summer dirt. Once it got cooler, I reduced the washing frequency, but to prevent bacteria from growing and weakening the fabric, I washed both top and bottom at the same time every 3 months. There are no tears in the fabric, and I'm satisfied with how both top and bottom have achieved a well-balanced fade.

I wore it over a cut-and-sew in spring and autumn, and as an inner layer under a coat in winter, whenever I had the chance. Overall, I wouldn't say the fading is drastic, but I like the more natural fade. Especially by thoroughly drying it in the dryer, the waistline shows distinct creasing and twisting, and the puckering seen throughout creates a more realistic fade. Furthermore, the vertical fading unique to black tag denim gives it the feel of 1940s fabric. The strong contrast, which is a characteristic of black tag denim's deep indigo, is a key point, and it's good that it's easy to differentiate from white tag denim. I still have the pleasure of wearing it out!
