I wear them casually, without much thought. My daily commute involves walking, taking the train, and cycling, so I walk over 10,000 steps a day. Also, due to the nature of my job, I often carry heavy cardboard boxes for stocking and inspection, and frequently work on my knees, so there's a lot of damage in various places. I've grown fond of them for these reasons. I usually wear these jeans for motorcycle touring as well. Before I knew it, they had faded this much. I use a denim detergent that doesn't contain bleach or fabric softener when washing them.

I wore them an average of 4-5 times a week for 1 year and 3 months after purchase. The first wash was 3 months after I started wearing them, the second wash was 2 months after that, and then I continued wearing them without much concern, washing them once every 1-2 months. Over the 1 year and 3 month wearing period, they were washed 5-6 times and tumble dried 2-3 times. Since they were washed relatively frequently, they have a generally blue hue, but the whiskers and honeycomb fading are well-defined, resulting in a balanced fade, I think.

For the first 3-4 months after purchase, I wore them without washing. However, since I'm the type to rotate various pants, I wore them about 3 days a week. After the first wash, I believe I washed them approximately every two months. When I was in middle and high school, I sometimes slept in them (laughs), but now that I'm an adult, I change into loungewear as soon as I get home. I don't do anything special when washing them. I turn them inside out and put them straight into the washing machine. When I'm short on time, I also use the dryer. Since I do a lot of desk work, I seemed to have a habit of unconsciously rubbing my thighs (laughs). Thanks to the accumulation of those daily habits, they've developed a fade that I'm personally very satisfied with.

After purchase, I immediately starched them and wore them for six months. Since I'm not a big fan of fine whiskers, I aimed for wilder whiskers and did squats every day for those six months. I wore them 7 days a week for six months, then did the first wash & dry. The whiskers formed exactly as I intended, and puckering appeared on the yoke and pocket edges, as well as fading on both side seams. After that, I reduced my wearing frequency to 4-5 times a week, and did the second wash & dry after three months, and the third wash & dry after another three months. Although the wearing period was one year, I was able to achieve the strong vertical fading characteristic of the black tag denim.

Personally, I prefer a slightly yellowish fade, so I intentionally wore them a lot in mid-summer, not fearing sweat or sebum, and just wore them hard. Since I wore them two sizes larger, there aren't extreme whiskers or honeycombs, but I was particular about wearing them in a size that an original worker might have worn. I was able to successfully bring out the vertical fading unique to black tag denim, and I'm very satisfied with the yellowish tint I was aiming for. I also paid close attention to the hem, to achieve a 1cm roll-up, I thoroughly shrunk them in the dryer before hemming, and achieved the desired length. The fabric itself has also softened, making them naturally comfortable to wear, and they have become a cherished pair.

I wore them daily for the first three months. Since I started wearing them in July, it was difficult to wear them as a set outdoors initially. Therefore, I made an effort to wear them as a set as much as possible in the store and indoors. From October to around May, I wore them as a set every day at home and even used them as pajamas when sleeping, so I must have worn them for at least 10 hours daily. I often went out in the set as well. After 10 months, the pants had faded more than the jacket, so I decided to reduce wearing the pants when going out to match the colors. Regarding washing, after two months, I gave both the top and bottom their first wash to remove summer dirt. As it got cooler, I washed them less frequently, but to prevent bacteria from breeding and weakening the fabric, I washed both pieces at the same time once every three months. I am satisfied that both the top and bottom have achieved a balanced fade without any tears in the fabric.

Comments: I've worn several vintage Levi's myself, and I think this is a truly superb replica. It's not overdone, nor too understated; I think it's a perfectly balanced replica jean. Comment: These jeans offered a beautiful contrast in fading and a deep, rich color. Compared to white tag denim, they felt a bit stiff at first, but with repeated wear and several washes, the unique softness of Last Resort denim emerged, making them conform even more to my skin. The distinct reproduction of individual characteristics, such as the fades on the back pockets and waistband, became increasingly apparent with continued wear.
