The defining feature of this outfit is, needless to say, straightforward American casual. Wearing a sweatshirt and jeans. That's it. But I think that's the essence of American casual. An unpretentious, effortless style that fits into everyday life. I've grown a little, so I went up a size this time (lol). The sweatshirt was the main focus of the day, so I took it off halfway through, but the pink that pops into the denim suit works well. It's precisely because the denim is rugged that these soft colors really pop. It's simple, but with a well-calculated balance. It's casual, but doesn't look sloppy -- that's the kind of outfit I'm wearing.
