This open-collar shirt, which boasts stable sales, is made from specially crafted indigo sashiko fabric. The ground fabric uses 20/- count yarn for both the warp and weft, while the striped sashiko part of the warp uses 10/2 count yarn, creating a textured fabric. The dyeing and printing are consistently done at a factory in Fukuyama City, Hiroshima Prefecture. After indigo dyeing, a 50s-style geometric pattern is applied using discharge printing with a rotary (roller screen) method. Discharge printing involves removing the indigo dye and adding beige pigment, allowing for a clear color to be reproduced without being affected by the base color. As you wear it, the color will fade, allowing you to enjoy the aging process.
