〜WEST顧客様のEngineer Boots経年変化 & 今週の新着動画は『恒例の恵比寿店 熊崎おねだり企画』~【WEST】

~WEST Customer's Engineer Boots Aging & This Week's New Video is "Our Regular Ebisu Store Kumazaki's Begging Project"~ [WEST]

~Patina of WEST Customers~

Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.

Today, I'd like to introduce you all to a customer's item that has developed a beautiful patina.

JELADO the BOOTED ENGINEER BOOT BLACK (with brown core) [JB94901]

Surprisingly, this is...

the result of only about two months of wear since purchase.

They've been worn thoroughly.

The brown underlayer has emerged,

resulting in a vintage-like aging and

a rugged, "manly" feel in these engineer boots.

From here on, we'll look at the aging.

For customers considering engineer boots,

please use this as a reference.

The back looks great too!

These engineer boots, with their outstanding character, are

released by JELADO the BOOTED and crafted from Italian horse butt leather.

These engineer boots are based on Representative Goto's collection.

They incorporate the unique characteristics of vintage designs,

featuring details like reverse-curved buckles,

pointed strap ends,

and a gusset at the opening sewn on later,

making them slightly different from boots of the same era.

Please come to the store to try them on and purchase them.

~Information on Pre-Order Items~

We would like to introduce the following items that are now available for pre-order.

[Pre-order item, arriving June] JELADO Rebel Jacket Horse Hide Semi Aniline Finish Black [SG71428]

The Rebel Jacket is

a standard rider's jacket that JELADO has been offering for many years.

To make it a simple rider's jacket,

the epaulets were removed.

Furthermore, by using cupra instead of quilting,

it's easier to put on and take off,

making it a comfortable piece to wear.

Made with 1.6mm thick leather and a semi-aniline finish,

it offers a softness not found in 100% pigmented leather, and since it's "brown-core leather,"

you can enjoy its aging process with repeated wear.

There's another item available for pre-order.

This is also a very popular product,

and when it was previously released, it sold out very quickly,

with sizes disappearing in an instant.

[Pre-order item, arriving June] JELADO CM47 HBT Baker Pants [CT03347]

These are baker pants made from "herringbone twill" fabric, adopted in 1947.

※ What is herringbone?

"Herringbone" =

"herring" and "bone"

The name comes from the pattern resembling the bones seen when a herring fish is filleted.

Baker pants were worn both on the battlefield

and during indoor work duties.

It is also said that the name 'Baker Pants' originated from the fact that bakers wore them.

Since it's herringbone twill fabric,

it's thick and durable.

Also, since it's 100% cotton, you can enjoy its aging process with repeated wear.

Although pre-orders for this item have been accepted for some time,

it was a popular item at the 2025SS preview.

[Pre-order item, arriving early March] Monkey Trousers [CT11344]

USMC M44 Monkey Pants refer to pants issued to the Marine Corps.

They are also known by the nickname "Monkey Pants"

and are popular items in the vintage industry.

The origin of their name is as follows:

These pants feature large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.

These large pockets were adopted to hold a "poncho,"

and the flaps were included to prevent contents from falling out.

These pockets are said to resemble a monkey's buttocks, hence the name "Monkey Pants."

The M44 was manufactured for a very short period,

only "1 year and 3 months," from July 1944 to around October 1945.

Additionally, because they were issued to the "elite few"

U.S. Marine Corps, the overall production volume was low, and thus,

they command very high prices in the vintage market.

The U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them during...

・The Battle of Iwo Jima (February 19, 1945 - March 26, 1945)

・Around the Battle of Okinawa (March 26, 1945 - September 7, 1945)

They were also widely worn during the post-WWII

・Korean War (June 25, 1950 - July 27, 1953).

Jelado's Monkey Pants use herringbone material.

Furthermore, they are dyed with vat dyes.

The buttons are doughnut buttons,

adding to the vintage appeal.

By wearing them frequently,

you can enjoy the aging process.

They pair very well with native pattern half-length coats,

leather jackets... and even with

coveralls.

I also highly recommend pairing them with a chambray shirt.

Please make your reservations online or in-store.

Thank you very much.

Pre-orders for popular items have begun.

We look forward to receiving your reservations.

Thank you very much.
