This coat was popular with many customers,

both men and women, at the 2023 AW preview.

 

The setting is New York around 1880-1920.

This atelier coat was created from the idea that a tailor of European origin, who became a tailor in America,

might have tailored an arrangement of his native country's clothing.

In France, coats (shop coats) made of linen material

were worn in workshops.

This coat was created with the image that a French tailor

might have made this as a winter overcoat.

 

① It features cat-eye buttons that are appealing to those who like vintage style.

 

 

② The sleeves have decorative flaps.

(This creates a nice accent.)

 

 

③ Large pockets on both sides provide excellent storage capacity.

 

 

④ The collar is designed to stand up.

To reproduce the thick yet soft fabric of the pre-1950s,

we thoroughly analyzed vintage flannel shirts, and just like Lee workwear,

we sent them to a testing institution to analyze in detail:

 

・Fiber length

・Twist coefficient

・Yarn count

・Number of threads per inch

 

This led to the development of a new flannel from scratch.

 

This product uses

sulfur dyes.

While there is less demand for sulfur dyeing in recent years,

the "aging" that occurs with wear,

and the soft "fabric feel" and "touch" that feel as if you are wrapped in a towel,

are exceptionally good and highly recommended.

 

This is a product that receives a lot of inquiries from customers

concerned about sizing, but we would appreciate it if you could

consult with us in person at the store, rather than by phone

(as we may not be able to accommodate you depending on the circumstances, such as visits).
