~Introducing the aging of WEST staff~

 

Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.

Today, we're introducing the aging of the

【JP94301E】Age of Longing 301EXX that we've been wearing.

 

First, let's introduce the 301EXX (W32) of our denim jacket-wearing staff member.

 

You can see in the image his unique way of developing fine fades (hige).

Because he commutes by bicycle every day, these fades are formed in such a way...

 

And the vertical fading unique to the black tag...

This is clearly visible in the image.

 

And the puckering seen on the back yoke and around the back pockets...

This puckering effect is created when the fabric shrinks in the dryer, but

the fading here is also remarkable.

This fading after about 1 year and 2 months of wear...

It's amazing, isn't it?!

 

Next, let's look at the aging of my (Uemura's) 301EXX (W33).

 

I myself have worn them diligently.

The difference from Yamamoto's is the way the fades (hige) appear.

Because I commute by train and he commutes by bicycle,

my front fades can't compete with those from cycling... but,

personally, I wanted to create wild fades,

and this is the result of cultivating them carefully.

 

And like Yamamoto's, mine also show vertical fading characteristic of the black tag...

 

And on the back, the yoke and the edges of the back pockets

show distinct puckering.

 

And although it's still not quite enough,

the honeycombs have started to appear nicely.

 

The fading varies depending on the wearer,

including size selection, frequency of wear, and washing habits.

To those who are currently wearing them... and those who are planning to wear them,

please do break in your JELADO LAST RESORT items.

The fabric is based on a thick but soft fabric from before the 1950s.

To reproduce this, vintage flannel shirts were thoroughly analyzed, and just like Lee workwear,

a new flannel was developed from scratch by carefully analyzing the following at a testing institution:

 

・Fiber length

・Twist coefficient

・Yarn count

・Number of threads per inch

 

This product uses sulfur dye.

Although the demand for sulfur dyeing has been low in recent years,

the "aging" it undergoes with wear and

the fluffy "fabric feel" and "skin touch,"

which is like being wrapped in a towel, are exceptionally good and highly recommended.

 

This product receives a lot of inquiries from customers concerned about sizing,

but it would be appreciated if you could consult us in-store rather than by phone

(as we may not be able to accommodate inquiries by phone due to in-store traffic, etc.).
