〜Wabash Set Up〜
Good evening. This is Uemura from WEST.
Today, I'd like to introduce this product.
Steelbeam Coat【AG11406】
Hoghead Wabash Trousers【AG02307】
The Steelbeam Coat, which arrived last Wednesday.
I imagine many customers, including myself, have been eagerly awaiting it.
Unique pockets
A-line silhouette
And change buttons
The Steelbeam Coat incorporates vintage details and is produced based on coveralls from before 1920.
The Hoghead Wabash Trousers, released earlier, are based on a vintage item from the 1890s, so they do not have belt loops.
They come with suspender buttons.
(*For ease of use, these trousers include belt loops.)
You can also adjust them using the cinch back.
Denim and trousers from before the 1920s did not have belt loops and were typically worn with suspenders. Such pants are called "waist overalls."
The item released by JELADO uses Wabash fabric, which is derived from their blue tag line.
Wabash fabric is used.
The dot stripe pitch is based on our company's vintage Wabash and recreated with discharge printing.
And the Wabash is left-hand twill.
Because three different thread thicknesses are randomly interwoven, when it ages, you'll see irregular vertical fading, just like with the blue tag, allowing you to enjoy a vintage feel.
Please try them on and purchase them in-store.
〜USMC M44 Monkey Pants〜
【Pre-order item, arriving early March】Monkey Trousers【CT11344】
USMC M44 Monkey Pants were issued to the Marine Corps, and are a popular item in the vintage industry under the nickname "Monkey Pants." The origin of the name is as follows...
These pants feature large, horizontal cargo pockets with flaps.
These large pockets were designed to hold ponchos, and the flaps were included to prevent the contents from falling out.
These pockets are said to resemble the buttocks of a monkey, hence the name "Monkey Pants."
The production period for the M44 was actually very short, lasting only "1 year and 3 months," from July 1944 to around October 1945.
Furthermore, because they were issued to the "elite few" of the U.S. Marine Corps, the overall production volume was small, making them highly sought after and expensive in the vintage market.
The period during which the U.S. Marine Corps actually wore them includes...
・Battle of Iwo Jima (Feb 19 - Mar 26, 1945)
・Around the Battle of Okinawa (Mar 26 - Sep 7, 1945).
Also, after World War II,
・Korean War (Jun 25, 1950 - Jul 27, 1953)
They seem to have been widely worn during these conflicts.
JELADO's Monkey Pants feature herringbone material, dyed with vat dyes.
The buttons are donut buttons, which also creates a vintage feel.
By wearing them diligently, you can enjoy the aging process.
With a native pattern half-length coat or
leather jackets... and even with
coveralls, it goes very well.
I also recommend pairing it with a chambray shirt.
Please make your reservations at the store or online.
Thank you very much.

~Regarding bringing in items for hemming~
Both JELADO stores used to accept hemming requests for "denim from other brands" if brought to the store,
but as hemming for in-store and online purchases has increased,
we are currently unable to accommodate "hemming for other brands brought in by customers." We appreciate your understanding.
・For customers wearing JELADO,
hemming for "JELADO products purchased from a dealer" will incur a fee.
*We will continue to accept hemming requests for products purchased directly from JELADO.
