Today, I'd like to introduce these boots.

The setting is America from 1880 to 1920.

This is a vaudeville theater that could be seen in New York and other major cities.

 

Vaudeville theaters were full of variety, with singing, dancing, comedy, magic, and more.

 

Many people who later became 'silent film stars', such as Chaplin and the Marx Brothers, also came from vaudeville.

 

The 'Vaudeville' that I'm introducing today is a pair of shoes produced with the image of 'shoes that an actor in a vaudeville theater would have worn' during that era.

 

These are external-lacing boots with a high toe and a separate quarter piece sewn onto the vamp.

 

They are a combination of Goodyear welt construction and McKay construction, the same combination as the Sportif.

 

The leather is soft and molds to your feet, making the Vaudeville incredibly comfortable to wear...

 

'Black' is made of tea-core leather.

As you wear them, the underlying brown color will appear, allowing you to fully enjoy their aging process.

 

'Oak Brown' is a leather that develops clear color shading as you wear it.

It's highly recommended because you can enjoy a different kind of aging process than with tea-core leather.

 

Unlike the moccasin-style Sportif, the Vaudeville has a cap toe...

The base fabric reproduces a thick yet soft fabric from before the 1950s.

To achieve this, we thoroughly analyzed vintage flannel shirts,

and like Lee's workwear, we used a testing institution to analyze in detail:

 

・Fiber length

・Twist coefficient

・Yarn count

・Number of threads per inch

 

We meticulously analyzed these factors and developed a new flannel from scratch.

 

This product uses

sulfur dyes.

While there is little demand for sulfur dyeing in recent years,

the "aging" effect from wear and the

fluffy "fabric texture" and "feel against the skin"

that is like being wrapped in a towel,

are outstanding and highly recommended.

 

This product receives many inquiries from customers
